Mother Ruth gives the popular
prayer tent a personal prayer
test. It seemed to work for her.

discomforting events. It started with the Martins. That part was
amazing and wonderful. Vern and Judy met me at Dulles Airport
and whisked me off to their two storey mansion in Manassas
VA. I was honored with my own room, met their closest friends,
the Longhis and the Algers who it turned out were as nice and
as busy as they are. But in spite of the busy life style they did a
silent auction for us (my favorite kind of auction now that I know
what it is). Raised money for the ministry, showed me around
the northern Virginia area and sent me off in a reliable economy
car that Vernon bought and fixed up especially for my use in
traveling around to friends and supporters who I had not seen in
years. Judy added her GPS which was most useful as I drove
across the USA and back. I felt at home with the Martins. Part of
it must have been that they had already been at home with me
in Simferopol as they adopted Samantha Joy. I was impressed
with their Jeffrey's football prowess. He certainly has more
speed than I ever had. For USA pictures, highlights including my
son Michael's wedding and some amazing events on the road

Washington prayed effectively.
One sharpshooter in the French
and Indian War said he knew
he had shot him more than
once but he seemed to have a
spiritual shield of protection.
Mother Ruth tucked into the middle the huge Semichkov family quite happily for this group picture during the
summer when Viktor and Natasha's five grandchildren also came to visit. Earlier she took an energetic forest
nut picking walk with some of the rescued children. 4 from the family were able to attend our summer camp.
They adjusted to the change of environment well, returned back home with glowing reports. Other children
now eagerly say, "Next year it is my turn!" Dima, the teenage blond on the roof-raising team below is now
officially adopted, a Semichkov. The Semichkovs got some help from the state for the building project as
Ukraine has been catching on to the need for more "family type children's homes." That is of course what
River of Joy is about.
The Semichkov family keeps a normal
sized washing machine busy all day, every
day. Lately their old washer has been
making some strange sounds... Wheeze-
chunk, etc. They prayed for a replacement.
God's answer came in the 17th Hum Aid
container from NIICCA in Northern Ireland.
We took it out to Semichkovs Saturday.
|Recently Crimeans have been discovering peanut butter.
This week Viktor Semichkov and I agreed to begin to work with
the forest nuts (wild Hazel nuts) to make a hazelnut butter. Any
recipes or keys to nut butter making are much appreciated.
The hot weather this summer dried up the Semichkov's creek
and even their well has gone dry. We prayed for rain and the
Lord told me rain would come in two weeks. That was two
weeks ago. Rain has come. Praise God the Semichkov boys
took the timing seriously and the new roof was on in time.

|'WELL DONE' TO ALL WHO HELPED
Ukraine has a nominal 20% annual inflation right now and the dollar has been trading at record lows until
last week when local currency dipped to meet its fall. The food bill for camp was huge. We were concerned
so like the miracle of loaves and fishes it became more than enough. A small residual helped us to make
payroll the following week during this financial dry spell. Spiritual dividends came in some amazing growth &
breakthroughs. Young boys even were spending free time in prayer instead of playing! The prayer tent was a
rallying point all week. In short the camp was more than fun for poor village kids and a few others who paid.
One of the happiest campers this year was a youth from Dneiperderzhinsk who signed on as a camp
kitchen helper . He came to minister, but he was taking some serious prescription antidepressant
medicine. His eyes were glassy and zombie like when he arrived. The children noticed this young man's
problem and began a prayer vigil for him. He was miraculously healed and stopped his meds. He went
from Mr. Veggie Tales to Effervescent Ivan in one day. Pray in faith as a child and ANYTHING can happen.
|was "Who is This God?" The
answer to that question
expanded into, "How can I
know Him?" as His names and
attributes were pondered and
proved accurate. The children
sought God out and left
knowing Him personally.
